Teaching is learning, learning is doing, and doing is creating.
I am a five year middle school science teacher. Coming from the corporate world and having three daughters, teaching feels like second nature to me. I am a graduate of National Louis University where I earned my BA in Elementary Education and Concordia University where I earned my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on adolescent literacy. I currently work at a STEM school where I am constantly researching and seeking new ways to keep students engaged in their learning process. I love dancing, being creative with crafting, and just using my imagination. One of my greatest accomplishments in my teaching career was sitting on the panel with the Secretary of Education to share my experiences of accomplishments and struggles as a middle school science teacher in a STEM school. My journey is just beginning, but I plan to make a major impact in my student’s lives, and in education as a whole!
